Leak Hints Nvidia RTX 5050 9GB With 24Gb GDDR7 Memory

Taiwanese media outlet BenchLife also confirmed the relevant information through its own channels, stating that the RTX 5050 9GB will be released around the time of COMPUTEX 2026 Taipei International Computer Show, and mentioned a memory equivalent speed of 28Gbps.

BenchLife claims that the RTX 5050 9GB was released because of a tight supply of GDDR6 memory, forcing Nvidia to abandon the original 8GB version.

Source MEGAsizeGPU (@Zed__Wang) stated early this morning Beijing time that NVIDIA will launch a GeForce RTX 5050 graphics card featuring a 96-bit memory bus and 9GB of GDDR7 memory. It was noted that when discussing mobile products, the leaker usually includes “Laptop,” “Mobile,” and “M,” suggesting that this likely refers to desktop products.

NVIDIA’s current desktop RTX 5050 is equipped with 8GB of 128-bit 20Gbps GDDR6 memory, which includes four 16Gb chips and has a memory bandwidth of 320GB/s.

The 96-bit 9GB configuration means that the new RTX 5050 will use 24Gb memory chips ; although the bit width is lower, due to the advantages of the GDDR7 specification, as long as the RTX 5050 9GB memory effective speed is higher than 26.66Gbps, the actual memory bandwidth will still exceed that of the original version .

@Zed__Wang also mentioned that Nvidia has abandoned the launch of the GeForce RTX 5050/5060 series graphics cards with 128-bit, 12GB memory specifications.
