According to an official announcement from miHoYo, the PS4 version of Genshin Impact will cease receiving updates on April 8th. At that time, players will no longer be able to log in to the game via PS4. Genshin Impact already installed on PS4 devices will also no longer receive update notifications.
Additionally, items purchased on the PlayStation Store but not yet logged into the game will only be obtainable by logging into the PS5 version of Genshin Impact. miHoYo officially recommends that players using PS4 continue playing Genshin Impact on PS5 or other devices without affecting their game progress.
It was noted that the entire plan to remove and discontinue the PS4 version of Genshin Impact is divided into three stages: “game removal,” “product removal,” and “game discontinuation of updates.”

Starting at 06:00 (UTC+8) on September 10, 2025, the PS4 version of Genshin Impact will be removed from the PlayStation Store. Prior to this, PlayStation™Network accounts that have not previously acquired the PS4 version of Genshin Impact will not be able to find or access it on the PlayStation Store.
PlayStation Network accounts that have acquired Genshin Impact can still download the game again from the Store – Game Library at any time after deleting Genshin Impact from their devices.
In-app purchases removed for PS4 version
Starting at 06:00 (UTC+8) on February 25, 2026, all in-app purchases for the PS4 version of Genshin Impact will be removed from the PlayStation Store and the in-game store, and Travelers will no longer be able to make purchases on PS4.
Items purchased on the PlayStation Store before the PS4 version of the game stopped receiving updates but have not yet been acquired by logging into the game can be obtained normally by logging into the PS4 version of Genshin Impact.
