The Voyah Taishan Technology Renewal Launch Event – ”Vision” – is scheduled for March 17, where the first mass-produced flagship SUV from Huawei’s 896 production line – the Voyah Taishan – will make its physical debut.
According to reports, the Voyah Taishan adopts an L3 intelligent architecture design, and its L3 road test qualification is also ready (it has officially obtained the Wuhan L3-level road test license). The official teaser poster shows that the position of the small blue light on the new car is similar to that of the Wenjie M6, located separately on the front grille and completely separated from the daytime running lights (there is also a small blue light on the rearview mirror).
It was learned from Voyah Automobile that the new car will also be equipped with a “million-level” starry sky roof. Similar features have previously appeared on models such as the Rolls-Royce Wraith Luminary Collection Special Edition, the Honda S800, the BMW i7, the Mercedes-Benz GLC, and the BYD U8.
Voyah Automobile also released a test video of its new car today, showcasing the intelligent driving capabilities of the Voyah vehicle equipped with an 896-line LiDAR, including L3 autonomous driving, assistance measures after the driver becomes incapacitated and unable to take over the vehicle, and avoidance of emergency vehicles.
The original Weibo post mentioned that the test was conducted using Voyah Taishan 896-line LiDAR, but the car in the video is the Voyah Dreamer, which is expected to be equipped with the same intelligent driving hardware.
In the video, after activating L3 Navigation, Voyah vehicles can be operated hands-free, allowing the system to take over the vehicle. For the first time, the responsibility shifts from the driver to the automaker. In the event of driver incapacitation, the vehicle will provide a countdown reminder and will automatically pull over if the driver cannot be awakened. When encountering emergency vehicles such as ambulances, the Voyah Taishan will also give way.
