Bloomberg report, another senior Tesla executive has announced his departure. This follows a series of executive departures as the company shifts its focus to AI and robotics.
Tesla’s Vice President of Finance, Sendil Palani, announced on social media that he will be leaving the company after 17 years. Palani has served as Vice President of Finance since 2021 and previously worked at Tesla twice, in finance, engineering, and manufacturing.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk replied, “Thanks for your an epic contribution over many years!”

Palani is another high-profile executive to leave Tesla in recent years. The company is currently working on deploying self-driving taxis in more cities and producing humanoid robots.
Tesla’s core electric vehicle business has seen sales decline for two consecutive years due to weak demand in the U.S. market, increasing competition, and consumer backlash against Musk working for the Trump administration.
Other executives who have left Tesla include: Omead Afshar, a longtime close friend of Musk; David Lau, Tesla’s vice president of software engineering; Milan Kovac, head of engineering for the Optimus robotics project; Troy Jones, North American sales executive; and his successor, Raj Jegannathan.
