Insta360, at its company annual meeting on February 11, revealed that its first dual-camera gimbal camera, the Insta360 Luna, will be released in the first half of this year, claiming to be the market’s first handheld gimbal camera with telephoto capabilities. According to the introduction, the phone will support AI three-axis image stabilization, and its telephoto lens has an equivalent focal length of 70mm, enabling 3x optical zoom.
It supports recording 4K and 240FPS slow-motion video, supports recording 10-bit color high dynamic range content, and is also expected to support recording two scenes simultaneously with the main camera and the telephoto lens.
In other aspects, the device will be equipped with a 1500mAh battery, providing up to 150-180 minutes of battery life. It will also feature built-in AI image enhancement capabilities and be priced between $499 and $699.
It will primarily compete with the DJI Osmo Pocket gimbal camera.
