Apple iPhone 18 Pro to Feature Upgraded 24MP Front-facing Camera

Apple Club posted on the X platform two days ago that the Apple iPhone 18 Pro will be upgraded with a 24-megapixel front-facing camera.

Sources indicate that this upgrade is expected to bring clearer FaceTime video calls, better low-light shooting performance, and clearer details. If this leak is true, the front-facing camera of the iPhone 18 Pro will finally receive “Pro” level treatment.

In comparison, it was learned that the iPhone 16 Pro, released in 2024, features a 12-megapixel front-facing camera, while last year’s iPhone 17 Pro is equipped with an 18-megapixel Center Stage camera.

However, some users mentioned in the comments that the iPhone 17 Pro’s camera is actually 24 megapixels, but because the CMOS element was cropped at the four corners, it cannot shoot in OpenGate mode and can only shoot 18-megapixel photos in a 4:3 aspect ratio.
