According to a report by CarBuzz on March 20 local time, Mercedes-Benz is pushing forward with its largest new car launch cycle in history, planning to launch approximately 30 new models in the near future. As the launch date approaches, some key products have already been revealed.
In an internal presentation to North American dealers, Mercedes showcased several unreleased new vehicles, including the G-Class Cabriolet, making its U.S. debut, as well as three new GT 63 models from AMG and a high-performance Black Series version.
One of the core models is the AMG G 63 Convertible, expected to launch in 2028. This model will be powered by a 577hp 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine, retaining the convertible structure while continuing to deliver typical AMG performance. Production is expected to begin at the end of 2027. The price has not yet been announced, but it will likely not be lower than the current G 63’s price of approximately $200,000, and considering market demand, the final price may be even higher.
According to IT Home, Mercedes-Benz is also preparing to launch three new models based on the GT 63 name. The first is a low-slung four-door coupe, expected to be the production version of the AMG GT Concept XX, equipped with a YASA axial flux motor with a maximum power output of 1341hp. The concept car previously underwent approximately 40,000 kilometers of testing over eight consecutive days, demonstrating its extremely high performance potential.
The second model is an SUV, expected to launch next year, possibly corresponding to the AMG GT SUV currently under testing. This model will share the coupe’s interior and powertrain, but will have advantages in terms of space, off-road capability, and practicality.
The third model is a coupe-like fastback coupe based on an SUV, positioned similarly to the GLC and GLE Coupe, sacrificing some storage space for a more dynamic appearance.
In terms of range, the four-door coupe is expected to reach about 644km, and the coupe SUV at least about 483km. It is not yet confirmed whether a gasoline version will be launched.

In addition to all-electric models, Mercedes-Benz also plans to launch two gasoline-powered AMG flagship models. One of them is the AMG GT Black Series, which may become the final product in the gasoline GT series; the other is a limited edition of 30 CLE models with a maximum power of 646hp, corresponding to the previously revealed Mythos series.
